		<description>I also read Mr. Hirsh's "fascinating" article (with some disgust I might add).  

He fails to mention the fact that a lot of northeasteners moved to the Sunbelt States in the 90's (myself included; Pennsylvania to Texas) and somehow didn't manage to "enlighten" the locals with their "more diplomatic, communitarian Yankee sensibility".  In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few of these transplants voted a certain Crawford, TX resident to the Presidency in 2000 and 2004.</description>

		<description>The Newsweek poll revealed a problem greater for the Obama campaign than some form of lingering racism in America but that some 40% of those voting in the current primaries and caucuses, Democrats and in some states independents, have no intention of voting for Sen. Obama if he is the nominee.  Whether that actually holds true come November still must keep many of the Obama campaign leaders up at night.</description>
